Florescence

Inspired by the vivid hues of the Red Maple as it deepens color in autumn and the patterns of dappled light created by a canopy of Live Oaks, Florescence aims to capture and transmit the beautiful and ephemeral qualities of the natural world that surrounds us.

In collaboration with natural light, Florescence becomes the medium through which the passing of time becomes visible; as it becomes illuminated, the intensity of colors and translucent surfaces shift in unison with the light – from bright to muted to opaque and back again – in rhythm with the cycle of day and night.
